YAMAHA YTR-988 Bb/A Piccolo Trumpet, Silver-plated, with Case

The YTR-988 is a custom rotary piccolo trumpet that ensures stable playability, reliability, and precise intonation. The trumpet can be transposed from Bb to A using the leadpipe.

Developed in collaboration with Jens Lindemann

Renowned trumpet soloist Jens Lindemann has been a Yamaha consultant for 20 years. His expertise lies in piccolo trumpets with rotary mechanisms. The YTR-988 incorporates many original patents, including improved interval control, ease of playing, and a completely new internal bore shape.

Lighter rotary valve mechanism

The new mechanism makes playing the trumpet easier, ensuring even greater playing comfort. Thanks to the lighter valve action, the trumpeter can focus on expressing their emotions.
