The 480 saxophones have many of the same features found in our professional saxophones. As a result, intermediate saxophones have better playability and optimal sound. Students' abilities can be discovered on these instruments, so that they can reach for an even more professional instrument in the future.

• The hand-engraved headstock adds character to the instrument.
• Compatible with custom Yamaha necks
• A new, more flexible octave flap system allows you to choose between the included neck modeled after the 62 series and necks designed for the Custom Z and Custom EX series of saxophones (sold separately).
• Improved connection of the H-Cis lower sound flaps
• The new way of attaching the neck to the body makes the instrument respond faster to any changes in the way the sound is produced and increases the durability of the mechanism.
• The neck, modeled after the 62 series, provides better sound and faster response of the instrument.
• Separate flap covers have been fitted with adjustment screw caps, which allows professional adjustment of the instrument.
• The left hand rocker has been modified for increased playing comfort.
