OPIS PRODUKTU

Anton Stingl jun. (ed.) Tropes to Alleluia / Tropen zum Alleluia im Graduale Romanum

Characteristics:

Tropes to Alleluia in the Graduale Romanum. Tropes initially served as textual additions to the chants of the proprium and ordinarium. In the case of Alleluia, this is done through a syllabic underlay, which is already documented at the beginning of the 10th century. The current edition combines 117 prosules with 41 of the 158 Alleluia verses in the Graduale Novum and aims to contribute to the revival of a forgotten choral tradition.

This volume complements the three-volume edition of the tropes tradition.
