Colista Lelio - Sonata a tre in F for 2 Violins, Violoncello and Basso continuo D.15565 Diletto Musicale

Product description:

Sonata a tre in F by Lelio Colista is an example of Italian chamber music of the 17th century, written for two violins, violoncello and basso continuo. Colista, a highly respected Roman composer and instrumentalist, played an important role in the development of the Baroque trio sonata tradition.

This edition, prepared by Helene and Omar Wessely, was published in the renowned "Diletto Musicale" series by Doblinger. The publication is intended for chamber ensembles and musicians specializing in early music repertoire.

The work features the clear texture typical of Italian Baroque style, dialogue between the violin parts and expressive treatment of the bass line. It is a valuable addition to the repertoire of ensembles performing 17th-century music according to historically informed performance practice.

The publication includes complete performance materials: solo parts (Violino I, Violino II, Violoncello) and a full score with figured and realized basso continuo.
