Frączkiewicz-Kirkov Teresa: Gore gwiazda Jezusowi

The collection of Christmas carols and pastorals "Gore gwiazda Jezusowi" arranged by Teresa Frączkiewicz-Kirkov was originally created for young musicians – students of music schools playing violin, cello and piano. The quartet arrangement was chosen to encourage chamber music practice and develop ensemble skills.

The collection includes well-known Polish Christmas carols as well as less frequently performed pieces that, according to the arranger, deserve wider recognition. The arrangements combine artistic value with accessibility for young performers.

The pieces can be performed by a full quartet ensemble, as well as by a duo, trio with piano or trio without piano. The exception is "Idzie na Ziemię", where the piano carries the main melody. Piano accompaniment allows the full artistic qualities of the carols to be presented.

The arrangements also allow selected parts to be performed on woodwind instruments and the solo part to be played by cello or bassoon. The publication is an excellent introduction to chamber music for students with different levels of experience and is also suitable for family music-making.
