This mouthpiece maintains flexibility and playing comfort. A relatively flat rim combined with a medium-depth cup makes this mouthpiece an excellent choice for solo playing. The 1.5 model also performs well for commercial and jazz applications.

The NY design is slightly heavier than contemporary Bach mouthpieces. The increased weight is due to a wider cup bottom, resulting in a broader, more spacious sound compared to conventional mouthpieces. The NY model also ensures sound clarity in the mid-register, unlike other mouthpieces that may get lost among other instruments.

Griego mouthpieces are comprehensively designed for orchestral, commercial, and jazz musicians. Griego is a family-run company with a mission to design and produce the finest mouthpieces imaginable. Our designs are shaped by the experience of musicians worldwide. The accessories you use are the result of ideas, experience, and inspiration from a large family of musicians we trust.
