This mouthpiece is unique in this series; I use it most often because it gives me phenomenal clarity, flexibility across the entire range, and a very individual character. I still consider it ideal for the first trombone in an orchestra. If you're used to playing on a slightly smaller rim, you'll need some time to adjust. However, once you pass that stage, the narrower rim will provide you with a warm sound and incredible flexibility. The shallow cup offers excellent high register performance while maintaining warmth in the midrange.

Ian Bousfield Virtuoso Series The V Series offers very clear projection and brilliance, standing out within the section or at the front of the ensemble as a soloist. It performs exceptionally well in the high register, allowing full control over airflow.
