OPIS PRODUKTU

Georg Friedrich Händel: Concerto grosso in D major HWV 323 Op. 6 No. 5 – Oboe 1

The fifth concerto from Georg Friedrich Händel's set of Concerti grossi Op. 6, catalogued as HWV 323, is one of the composer's most effective instrumental works. The set was written in 1739 and represents one of Händel's major achievements in the field of concertante instrumental music.

The D major concerto is characterized by a rich texture, contrasts between the concertino and ripieno groups, and Händel's distinctive combination of polyphonic writing, dance rhythms and lyrical melodies. Its movements reveal different aspects of the composer's style, ranging from ceremonial and energetic rhetoric to passages of a more lyrical character.

This publication contains the second oboe part for performance with the complete instrumental ensemble. It is an individual orchestral part, not a full score or a complete set of performance materials.
