Alicja Gronau is a Polish composer and music theorist, a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (now UMFC). She has been a teacher at the university since 1983. Her output includes more than 100 works performed in Poland and abroad.

In her choral music, Gronau draws both on biblical texts, including texts from the Book of Psalms, and on her own writings. Veni. Illumina. Gloria represents the sacred side of her a cappella choral output.
