The Most Beautiful Szymanowski is a selection of works and excerpts from cycles presenting different periods of Karol Szymanowski's piano music. The collection illustrates the development of the composer's musical language, from youthful Preludes influenced by Chopin, Brahms and Scriabin, through increasingly individual and tonally expanded Études, to mature works characterized by modern harmony and refined colour.

The publication includes Études from Op. 4 and Op. 33, the impressionistic Metopes and Masks, as well as Mazurkas inspired by the folklore of the Polish highlands. It also features 4 Polish Dances, distinguished by their clear texture, concise forms and simplicity, together with the Romantic Waltz, an unusual occasional work within Szymanowski's piano output.
