The Marigaux M2 oboe required several years of research and resulted in the filing of international patents. All the Marigaux know-how is in this oboe. A personalised instrument with an individual choice of head-joints.

Characteristics:

• Semi-automatic model, made of grenadilla wood, with silver-plated keywork
• Wood rigorously selected and dried for at least four years
• Interchangeable head-joints allow customization to the musician's needs, improving intonation, tonal depth, and fluidity of note transitions
• Unique design minimizes the risk of body cracking
• Connection between the instrument and the head-joint is achieved via a ball joint mechanism, where a lever with a ball end fits into a guide on the oboe body
• Additional composite head-joint (optional) reduces the risk of body cracking
• Newly shaped half-hole key ensures better tuning for high D and D-flat and provides improved control in the highest register for D and E notes
• Long F resonance key with adjustable height
• Ergonomically improved B, H, and E-flat key buttons
• Optimized position for G and G-sharp key buttons by removing the middle joint ring
• Includes 2 head-joints (1x Grenadilla Standard "M" and 1x Grenadilla eXtra short "S" with silver-plated keywork). Other configurations available upon request
• Supplied with a case and cover
