Małgorzata Biskupska, David Bruce: Easy Christmas Carols for Piano Four Hands

Małgorzata Biskupska, David Bruce: Easy Christmas Carols for Piano Four Hands

This publication is intended for beginner pianists who have only a few weeks of piano study behind them. It contains 16 of the best-known and most popular Christmas carols arranged for piano four hands. The arrangements are designed to be accessible to beginners: the melody is played alternately by the right and left hand, while the accompanying part can be performed by a teacher or by a somewhat more advanced piano student.

Playing the carols together gives the beginner an opportunity to achieve a fuller and more professional sound while making music-making an enjoyable part of the learning process. The collection also introduces the fundamentals of ensemble playing, helping students develop the ability to listen to one another, cooperate with another performer and maintain a precise rhythm.

The musical arrangements by Małgorzata Biskupska and David Bruce are accompanied by humorous illustrations by Kate Shannon, designed for the student to colour independently. The combination of piano repertoire and colouring activities makes the publication an engaging educational resource for young beginners.
