This publication contains excerpts from well-known and popular classical works arranged for piano four hands. It is intended for students who have completed their first year of piano study.

The duets have been arranged primarily for children with small hands, but they can also be performed by adults, for example by a teacher and student. Minor departures from the original versions are intentional, and the pieces have been adapted for convenient performance on a single instrument.

Playing together provides a fuller and more professional sound while making learning more enjoyable. The collection also introduces the basics of ensemble playing, developing the ability to listen to one another and maintain precise rhythm. The Piano I part can mostly be performed independently.
