Description: Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14 in E-flat major, K. 449 is one of the most important piano concertos from his mature period. Composed in 1784, it opens the remarkable series of Viennese piano concertos that Mozart wrote largely with his own performances in mind. The work is distinguished by its transparent, chamber-like texture, refined dialogue between piano and orchestra, and exceptional melodic and harmonic inventiveness. The wind writing is particularly significant, as the winds are not merely accompanimental but actively contribute to the structure and dramatic development of the concerto. The work consists of three movements: Allegro vivace, Andantino and Allegro ma non troppo.

This Bärenreiter edition contains the wind instrument parts required for performance of the concerto with orchestra. It forms part of the modern critical performing edition of the work.
