We are pleased to announce that Paxman Primo horns are once again available.

The smaller size of these instruments is designed to help young students develop good posture from the earliest stages of learning. At the beginning of any musician’s development, if they struggle to play comfortably on a full-size instrument with the correct right-hand position, there is a risk of forming bad habits, which could lead to problems later on.

The Paxman Primo 3/4 has the same proportions as a full-size French horn but is scaled down to allow students to develop correct posture from an early age. Its lighter weight also means it can be held comfortably without fatigue, and playing while tired can also lead to poor posture. This makes the Primo an ideal tool for learning good habits until the player is ready to transition to a full-size instrument.

The Paxman Primo 3/4 size French horn is the perfect instrument for beginners and smaller children. Its lightweight construction and balanced mouthpiece provide ease of play. This horn is also available in an F model.
