WESSEX TF425HP Vienna F tuba, 6 rotary valves, lacquered

Based on the classic Vienna F tubas as would have been used to play Bruckner, Mahler and Strauss in the first half of the 20th century, this tuba has a distinctive and beautiful tone like no other tubas available today.

Wessex has built this instrument with modern 6-valve F tuba fingering and intonation, just as you would expect from a contemporary professional tuba.

To further fine-tune the pitch, the tuba is equipped with two triggers operated by the thumb and left hand for the 1st and 2nd valve slides respectively.

Although a small tuba in physical size, the TF425HP can produce an amazingly full tone with a deep low register, making it entirely suitable for modern orchestra use when an F tuba is desired.
