OPIS PRODUKTU

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Quintet in A, K. 581 – Clarinet Quintet in A major

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A major, K. 581, written in 1789, is one of the best-known chamber works composed specifically for the clarinet. The work was written for Anton Stadler, an outstanding clarinetist and close friend of Mozart, and is often referred to as the “Stadler Quintet”.

The composition consists of four movements: Allegro, Larghetto, Menuetto and Theme with Variations. Although the clarinet has a particularly prominent and expressive part, Mozart maintains a remarkable balance between all five instruments, combining chamber-music intimacy with a concertante character.

This Bärenreiter Urtext study score is suitable for musical analysis, study and following the complete ensemble texture during performance.
