YAMAHA YCL-SE ARTIST Clarinet Bb

The most sophisticated Yamaha technology and expertise applied in the creation of the flagship clarinet – the YCL-SE Artist – have reached a new level of instrument design that meets the needs of the world's best clarinetists. Retaining the basic concept of the SE series, characterized by warm, richly exposed sound, elements like the bell and tone holes have been slightly redesigned compared to the CSGIII to achieve the desired combination of tuning precision and expressive freedom.

Unique emblem

The rose gold emblem, engraved with the letter "A" meaning "Artist Model," wonderfully emphasizes the character of this unique instrument.

Mechanisms enhancing playing comfort

To allow artists to focus entirely on performance, the refined mechanism improves playability for pieces requiring complex fingerings or pitches.

Yamaha low register compensation system: This original system effectively solves the issue of low F and E intonation in the lower register. Additionally, no keys extend below the lower joint, leaving the bell clean and streamlined.
Left-hand Eb lever: An improved lever design provides significantly better playability.
Left-hand F/C key linkage: An adjustment screw added to the F/C key linkage mechanism ensures smooth operation for every player.

Rose gold finish

Applying pink gold to the clarinet parts not only enhances its appearance but also adds a subtle, refined character to the sound.

Bell and barrel

The newly designed bell and barrel enhance resonance, with optimized resistance and excellent airflow that deliver a deeper tone.

Tone holes

Innovative convex tone holes are used for D and A sounds, providing improved reproduction and sound quality.
