The Xeno name has established an excellent reputation among demanding trumpet and trombone players. Now Yamaha applies the experience gained in designing these orchestral instruments to cornets. The Xeno cornets have been developed in close cooperation with some of the world's top players, especially David King, a cornet soloist, Head of Instrumental Studies at the University of Salford, and principal conductor of the Yorkshire Building Society Band. David worked intensively with Thomas Lubitz, an expert from Yamaha's Frankfurt group. The result of their 20 years of research and experiments is the Yamaha Xeno cornet series.
