Tone Holes

The walls are drawn upward from the body material, giving the flute a broad, light sound.

Keys

Plateau keys are easy to use. The pad cup is closed, ensuring the tone hole seals completely when the key is closed.

Tuning Configurations

Many advanced players prefer open-hole keys for subtle tone control. French-style flutes with intermediate and standard systems are available with plugged keys to assist players until they master covering the holes with their fingers.

Tuning System

Offset G is easier for many players and is often recommended for beginners. Advanced players may choose this natural configuration, while others prefer the traditional in-line setup where all tone holes are aligned in a straight row.

Split E Mechanism

This key enhances stability and better centers the intonation of high E.

B-Footjoint

The B-footjoint has an additional key that allows the player to play a half-step lower than the lowest note of the C-footjoint. It also affects the sound; the B-footjoint produces a darker, stronger sound with good projection, while the C-footjoint offers a warmer tone.

Each flute is individually customized to the customer's specifications.

* Some models are available with a B-footjoint (add H to the model number). Cases available: FLC-48II and case covers for 400 series (FLB-400EHII) and 300 series (FLB-48II).
* Some models are available with a gold-plated lip plate (add GL to the model number).
* Some 200 series models are available with a silver-plated lip plate (add SL to the model number).
* YFL-212 is available with a curved headjoint (add U to the model number). Cases available: FLC-220 and case cover FLB-200UEII.
