The Model 90 horn is highly sought after by "high" hornists as it makes operatic or concert parts significantly easier to perform. Generally, Bb horns are used in chamber music and solo performances. The tone of Bb horns is slim and flexible. Notes below low Bb can be successfully played on Model 97, which features an additional fourth section. Model 90 can be ordered with an extra set of 3 valves and a slide, allowing conversion into an F horn.
